Bill Evans Soulgrass Returns to Russia

Filmmaker Christoph Felder, from Koln, Germany is going to accompany Bill Evans Soulgrass on their 10 city tour of Russia, that ends with a concert at the Moscow Philharmonic followed by a private concert for dignitaries from both countries at the Spaso House, which is The US ambassadors residence in Moscow.

Bill Evans Soulgrass current release was recorded live in Moscow in the fall of 2013.

Evans says “I love the playing for the Russian people. They love music and life in general. Music transcends religion and politics, so we plan on showing people in Russia how happy we are to play for them”.

Going with Soulgrass on this trip is Murali Coryell and Mitch Stein on guitars, Dave Anderson on bass, Joel Rosenblatt on drums. “Murali is a tremendous blues singer. We are happy to have him aboard.”
