I have always loved art.

My mother is a great artist. I have always been around it. I have always thought about painting but

have been obsessed with music my whole life.

I used to watch Miles Davis paint when I was in his band, and even after I left the band

  I would get together with Miles at his apartment in NYC in the mid to late 1980’s. He use to say to me “ I love to paint

everyday. It’s an addiction. “ Still, I thought about it , but never tried it until about 10 years ago.

 It didn’t take long until I was totally hooked on it. It took over my world. ART soon became a passion of mine 

and something I truly loved to do. I get the same feeling of accomplishment from

painting as I do from writing a song, or finishing a CD. Go figure ? I had no idea. ( I get it now Miles )

 I can spend hours, days, months working on

music. I can also spend hours , days , months painting. Its very rewarding. Maybe it’s the

same part of the brain that is used for both, I don’t know. What I do know is that it feels like a form of

meditation for me. It grounds and centers me. Its not about who can paint the best landscape scene

portrait , or whatever . There are a million artists who can do that . In every town. The key is ,painting something

that represents YOU. YOUR form of expression. Something unique to who YOU are. When someone 

puts your artwork on their wall, its you they are putting up there. People can listen to something and also SEE something visually.

I have been bringing a limited number of paintings on the road that I sell, but it is too difficult to travel with them. Now I can

offer them here. They are all original unless mentioned otherwise. They don’t include a frame, but they are matted. I wanted

people to see the paintings in a frame to get the visual. I use Acrylic Ink, Watercolors, pen and ink. I will be adding more artwork everyday with different sizes as well.
